Mission

            The mission of the MBA-RD programme is to create human resource who through their professional expertise will be able to bring about all round rural development through people's participation. The Institute is committed towards the achievement of sustainable development. The Institute believes that all development initiatives need to take into consideration both universal human values and indigenous culture. It is expected that the development managers coming out of this programme will be able to empower rural people and enhance their capabilities, particularly the marginalized sections of the rural society, i.e. women and the socially and economically disadvantaged and thus help build vibrant autonomous rural communities.

a) To train students to become development managers in the formal and informal sectors consistent with the needs of a rural society in the context of global changes.

b) To equip young men and women to become rural entrepreneurs, if they so choose to train them so that they can develop entrepreneurship among the rural youth.

c) To inculcate egalitarian values along with professionalism in the students so that they turn out to be high on professional commitment, integrity and ethics informed by social purpose.

d) To train them in such competencies as are required for rural transformation.
